The holidays are upon us with Thanksgiving just a couple of days away. I retired from my job in Taos, New Mexico and moved to Missouri a year ago. There has been a lot of change for me – most good and a little bad – but I definitely have much to be thankful for. I am thankful for my wonderful husband who is supportive of my creative efforts. I am thankful for our health as we get older (sixth decade – oh my). I am thankful that we have a roof over our heads and enough to eat.
My dichroic jewelry and stained glass business is growing slowly but I am so grateful that it is growing. I so much appreciate all the shops and galleries that carry my dichroic jewelry and stained glass. And I am so thankful for all the people who buy my creations.
I am thankful that I have a place in our old house for my glass studio. I recently tried using a portable propane heater I brought from New Mexico to make the room more comfortable to work in. That heater worked great! Now I can continue making my creations through the winter even if it is very cold like last winter. And I was able to make room to bring part of my stained glass inside so I can work on both the dichroic jewelry and stained glass suncatchers. So much to be thankful for!
